Seoul in October is perfect for visiting. Fall weather, around 60 degrees F, feels very comfortable walking on the street. Special thanks to our friend S for showing us around Seoul. We had a great time there!
I’ve always want to visit DMZ, but they stopped doing the tour due to African swine fever outbreak. I was a bit disappointed before the trip, but our friend S took us to so many cool spots and delicious restaurants. Was originally concerned my recent wisdom tooth extraction would prevent me from enjoying the foods here, thank God my wound healed enough for me to not miss out on the many delicious Korean dishes!
Seoul customer service is unparalleled, many speak fluent English and are professional and friendly. It was a big stress reliever for someone like me who only knows how to say “thank you” and “delicious” in Korean. Even the locals were super friendly. When we were riding the metro, a stranger sitting next to us used a translating app to tell us “I don’t know where you are going, but next stop is the last stop on this line, transfer is avoidable at this station.”
P. S. UN and his one-year college Korean skills paid dividends this time!
